Giving tax breaks for Bitcoin in Kentucky is like setting money on fire
Having spent almost 30 years dedicated to teaching and research in electrical engineering, I have learned one thing. In Kentucky, solar panels are a complete waste of money when the state is undermining the benefits of solar with their policies toward Bitcoin. For those unfamiliar, Kentucky residents can replace all or a portion of their electricity by either purchasing and installing their own panels or subscribing to KU’s Solar Share program. I chose installing my own panels with a total cost just under $15,000 after a 25% federal tax rebate. In my first full year, I’ve saved $600 in electricity bills. At this rate, it will take 25 years to equal my $15,000 investment. Read more here...
"Giving tax breaks for Bitcoin in Kentucky is like setting money on fire," this news from Lexington Herald-Leader caught my attention. Kentucky's digital gold rush should be seen. It has some points on it when you think that solar panels are a waste of money if the state undermines the benefits of solar with their policies toward bitcoin. But if you're unfamiliar, learn from this. The Kentucky residents can replace all the portion of their electricity by purchasing and installing their own panels or by subscribing to the KU's Solar Share program. For example, a resident installs his own panel for a total cost of $15 000 after the 25% federal tax rebate. During the first year, he saved $600 in electricity bills. So it will take 25 years to equal the $15 000 investment.
Mary Todd Lincoln House in Lexington, KY
The Mary Todd Lincoln House in Lexington, KY, offers a self-guided tour with friendly docents stationed to answer any queries that visitors have. I like this place because it's one of the fascinating places to celebrate being a woman. This house was the family home of the wife of the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Mary was sophisticated, versed in politics, and well educated. Her success in the Whitehouse seemed assured. By visiting this home, you can take advantage of different programs such as the Lincolns' Lexington, A House Divided: Lexington Cemetery and the Civil War, Family Quest, Presidents' Day family Event, House Divided Cemetery Walking Tours, and more.
